• Chiropractic care is a safe and gentle way to promote comfort and minimise back pain during and after your pregnancy.

Webster’s is a gentle Chiropractic technique focussing upon pelvic alignment, specifically the sacrum and the ligaments which attach to it.

Pregnancy is commonly associated with general aches and pains including joint and back pain which chiropractic could help with by restoring or maintaining balance to the bones, muscles and ligaments of the pelvis and lower back.

Here is the official description of Webster’s Technique from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA):

“The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In so doing neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is improved.

In short, the Webster Technique is a specific Chiropractic technique used to analyse and correct pelvic imbalances found in any person at any age. Yet it is commonly applied to pregnant women because of the gentle ease of application that is well suited to pregnant bodies.

The technique takes about 10-15 minutes to complete per session and the average women would require 4-6 Chiropractic sessions over a two week period to gain positive results in pelvic alignment.”
